Galaxy Battles II is the third Major of the new Dota Pro Circuit. Sixteen teams will fight in the Philippines for a share of the $1,000,000 prize from January 15 to 21.
The venue selected for the event is the Philippine Arena: it is the largest indoor stadium in the world with a seating of capacity of over 50k. Check out some photos of the location here.
With sixteen teams taking part in the tournament, Galaxy Battles 2018 is the biggest Major announced so far. Eight teams will receive a direct invite, while the remaining eight must earn their spot through the qualifications.

The remaining four invites will be unveiled in the coming months.
Six teams will join from the regional qualifiers, one from each region according to Valve’s rules.
The final two participants will be selected through a wild card tournament also hosted at Philippine Arena. The second placed teams from the European and Chinese qualifiers will clash against the top two from Fallout Gaming's New Blood tournament. Only the best two will move up to the Major.
More details on the wild card event will be announced at a later date.
The entire tournament will be played live at the arena: two days are devoted to the group stage, and three to the playoffs. Info on brackets and format have not been released yet.
