Marvel Rivals Rank Distribution in May 2025 Season 2

The Marvel Rivals rank distribution and percentage of players by division in May 2025, Season 2. Learn the true value of your skill, and the info shared by the NetEase dev team. Only PC players data.

Source of the data

Currently, a perfect rank distribution is not attainable because NetEase Games doesn’t provide an API to acquire info on all the playerbase in Marvel Rivals. However, there are several websites that gather and share player data.

Each website can only access the information of the users utilizing their services, such as match history, general performance, and all sorts of detailed statistics. By using these tools, we allow them to scrape info from our profiles, which can then be used to determine the distribution of players across ranks.

After analyzing all available websites, I concluded that Rivals Tracker is the most reliable source because of its large number of visitors. Therefore, we will use their data for this analysis. Note that the data includes all regions but only PC players, so data from other platforms (consoles) is excluded.

I will update the data monthly, so we will have an idea on how the rank distribution evolves over time, and if there is any change.

Rank distribution in Season 2

  • Rank Reset: based on your final Season 1.5 rank, ranks will be demoted by 9 divisions. For example, if you ended Season 1.5 at Diamond I, your Season 2 journey begins at Silver I.

  • The minimum level required for new players to participate in Competitive has been adjusted to 15. (If you have previously completed at least one valid competitive match, you can still join Competitive in Season 2.0 even if you are below level 15.)

  • Pick/ban will now come into play starting from Gold III rather than Diamond tier.

  • When a team includes players from Eternity or One Above All, only solo or duo queuing will be allowed.

  • Currently, the score you earn per Competitive match is determined by both the outcome and your individual performance. After Season 2.0 launches, we will be increasing the weight of individual performances. The better you perform, the more points you will earn in victory, and the fewer points you will lose in defeat.

Official rank distribution in Season 1.5

At the end of season 1.5, the developers released the following chart showing the rank distribution. It features a smoother curve than the one I usually include in this article, as it filters out players who played fewer than five matches in competitive mode.

Rank distribution in Season 1

With the launch of Season 1, the developers reset the competitive ranks based on our standing at the end of Season 0 - not on the peak rank achieved during the season.

All players will receive a drop of 7 divisions. For example, if you were a Platinum 1, you will start Season 1 as a Silver 2.

They also introduced a new major rank, called Celestial. It features three divisions and stands above Grandmaster and below Eternity. This addition aims to provide a better experience for the top players of the game.
