Top 10 most expensive items on the market - February 2018

The top 10 most expensive Dota items currently available on the Steam market. I explored the market to find out the skins sold fairly at a high price during February 2018.

In the market there are thousands of items sold at an inaccurate cost, often in an attempt to scam the buyers. To give credibility to this list, I included only the items that have been already traded in the past and the recent average price range.

Platinum Baby Roshan

  • Average price: $1,300
  • Last sold on January 13 for $1,350

It is an immortal courier awarded to players that made it in the Sugar Rush Hall of Fame during Diretide 2013.

It utilizes the same model of the standard Baby Roshan courier - listed for $2-3 - but has platinum textures and effects.

In the game, there are Baby Roshans available with different effects, and they are all very expensive: Golden, Ice, Lava, Dark Moon, and Desert Sand.

Sunken Relic

  • Average price: $1,000-1,500
  • Last sold on February 11 for $1,521

A legendary item received by The International 2017 Battle Pass owners via the Slark’s Riptide Rumble.

All players had one chance per week to win 500, 750, 1000, 2000, or 4000 Battle Points, while the Sunken Relic was an extremely rare reward that dropped a maximum of 10 times per week.

It generates a custom ambient effect below the player’s hero, a watery Aegis of Champion. Only one Sunken Relic at a time can be active on a team - the player with the highest Battle pass level has priority over the others.

An immortal weapon for Pudge, formerly of mythical rarity. It is one of the oldest rare items, and was released in the Sithil's Summer Stash on July 12, 2012. Valve accidentally re-added it to the drop list in February 2013, but removed it soon after.

Also this item was added to the Trust of the Benefactor 2016 as a rare drop. Only 200 copies were available worldwide.

Its price increased recently, perhaps due to the announcement of the upcoming Pudge’s Arcana.

Note: there are multiple variants of this immortal item (standard, inscribed, and autographed) and they all cost pretty much the same.

Prismatic: Midas Gold

The item is still available on the market. The price dropped recently, but the average is higher than many items in this list.

A mythical gem that changes the color of unusual particle effects on custom couriers with an Ethereal Gem.

It also alters the following items:

  3. Witch Doctor's Padda'pon of Ribbi'tar.

There are many expensive and rare items in Dota 2, but not all of them are always available on the Steam market. I preferred dedicating my time to those you can buy right now.
