Dota Auto Chess: class and species Hero Synergy list

This list shows the Dota Auto Chess heroes organized by class and species. It indicates synergies, gold cost, and chess pieces required. The list is updated periodically.

I have spent time studying the best layout for this synergy list as many Auto Chess players do not play also Dota 2. In the end, I have chosen to display each hero with their name and silhouette icon (the standard portraits might have confused newcomers).

  • The heroes are split according to their class and species.

  • The number prior each name is the gold cost of that particular hero.

  • The bolded numbers specify how many chess pieces are necessary to gain a particular class or species bonus.

I have included all the fundamental info to find out quickly the bonuses provided by a certain class and species, the heroes required, and their gold cost. Hopefully, this page will be a helpful resource for your games :).

Currently, Auto Chess is immensely popular, and I believe there will be several adjustments in the coming months, so I will try my best to keep this list updated with all the changes and new heroes.

Note: Currently, Riki, Sand King, Slark, Ogre Magi, Mirana, and Lich are not available in the hero pool. They will be added at a later date after some adjustments.

 

Class

Assassin

3 — All friendly assassins have a 15% chance to deal 3.0x damage.

6 — All friendly assassins have an additional 15% chance to deal 4.5x damage.

Demon Hunter

1 — Negates an enemy demon’s power.

2 — All friendly demons keep their power.

Druid

2 — Two one-star druids can upgrade to a two-stars druid.

4 — Two two-stars druids can upgrade to a three-stars druid.

Hunter

3 — All friendly hunters have +30 base attack damage and +45% chance to pierce through evasion.

6 — All friendly hunters have +45 base attack damage and +60% chance to pierce through evasion.

Knight

2 — All friendly knights have a 30% chance to trigger a damage-reduction shield when attacked, reducing damage taken by 40% for 3s.

4 — All friendly knights have a 40% chance to trigger a damage-reduction shield when attacked, reducing damage taken by 40% for 3s.

6 — All friendly knights have a 50% chance to trigger a damage-reduction shield when attacked, reducing damage taken by 40% for 3s.

The shields reduce physical, magical, and even pure damage. The damage-reduction effect stacks linearly.

When all the 3 shields trigger simultaneously, the damage reduction can exceed 100% and cause the opponents to change target.

Mage

3 — Magic resistance decreased by 30% for all enemies.

6 — Magic resistance decreased by an additional 35% for all enemies.

9 — Magic resistance decreased by an additional 40% for all enemies.

Mech

2 — HP regeneration increased by 15 for all friendly mechs.

4 — HP regeneration increased by 25 for all friendly mechs.

4 — HP regeneration increased by 35 for all friendly mechs.

Priest

1 — 20% less damage to the courier.

Shaman

2 — Hex affects a random enemy when the battle starts.

Warlock

2 — Provides 10% lifesteal and spell lifesteal to all allies.

4 — Provides 20% lifesteal and spell lifesteal to all allies.

6 — Provides 30% lifesteal and spell lifesteal to all allies.

Warrior

3 — Armor increased by 5 for all friendly warriors.

6 — Armor increased by an additional 7 for all friendly warriors.

9 — Armor increased by an additional 9 for all friendly warriors.

Wizard

2 — Reduce the number of chess pieces required by 1 for any synergy requiring 4 units or more to be active.

Species

Beast

2 — Attack damage increased by 10% for all allies, including summoned units.

4 — Attack damage increased by 20% for all allies, including summoned units.

6 — Attack damage increased by 30% for all allies, including summoned units.

Demon

1 — Deals 50% extra pure damage to their target.

The synergy is inactive if you have more than one kind of Demon in play.

Dwarf

1 — Attack range increased by 300. Dwarf units focus their attacks on the lowest-health enemy.

Dragon

3 — All friendly dragons have 100 mana when the battle starts.

5 — If all the non-dragon allied pieces are at the same rank, all allies start the battle with 100 mana.

Element

2 — All friendly elements have a 30% chance to turn the attacker into stone for 3 seconds when attacked by melee chess pieces.

4 — All allies have a 30% chance to turn the attacker into stone for 4 seconds when attacked by melee chess pieces.

Elf

3 — Evasion increased by 20% for all for all friendly elves.

6 — Evasion increased by an additional 20% for all allies.

9 — Evasion increased by an additional 25% for all allies.

Goblin

3 — Armor and HP regeneration increased by 15 for a random ally.

6 — Armor and HP regeneration increased by 15 for all Goblins.

God

1 — Cooldown of all allied units decreased by 40%.

2 — Cooldown of all allied units decreased by an additional 40%.

3 — Cooldown of all allied units decreased by an additional 40%.

The synergy is active only when all the other species synergies are inactive (class synergies are allowed).

Human

2 — All friendly humans have a 20% chance to silence the target for 3s when attacking.

4 — All friendly humans have a 20% chance to silence the target for 4s when attacking.

6 — All friendly units have a 20% chance to silence the target for 3s when attacking.

Naga

2 — Magic resistance increased by 30% for all allies.

2 — Magic resistance increased by 45% for all allies.

Ogre

1 — Max health points increased by 5% for all allies.

Orc

2 — Max health points increased by 250 for all friendly orcs.

4 — Max health points increased by 250 for all allies.

Troll

2 — Attack speed increased by 35% for all friendly trolls.

4 — Attack speed increased by 30% for all allies.

6 — All allied pieces earn Fervor with ability level equal to the highest rank Troll Warlord in the team.

Undead

2 — Armor decreased by 3 for all enemies.

4 — Armor decreased by 5 for all enemies.

6 — Armor decreased by 7 for all enemies.

Hero units stats

The table below shows the damage, health points, armor, DPS, attack speed, and attack range of each hero unit in Auto Chess.

It doesn’t consider abilities that increase the DPS of a hero (such as Drow’s Marksmanship and Troll Warlord’s Fervor), but only raw stats. DPS=Damage/Attack Speed.
