FaZe Clan won the first title with the new roster. They dominated ESL One New York 2017 scoring 7-0 during the entire event.
Finally, the new FaZe’s roster left their mark with an astonishing victory at ESL One New York. They received a direct invite to battle for the $250,000 prize pool with seven more teams.
In the group B, the international lineup clashed against Virtus.pro and Astralis, dominating both of them in two successive Bo1.
In the playoffs, FaZe won the Bo3 semifinal against Cloud9, scoring 16:4 on Mirage and 16:3 on Overpass. The grand finals featured a Bo5 versus Team Liquid, but three games were sufficient to close the dances.

On Inferno, FaZe showed a perfect CT-side, scoring 15-0. Liquid could only snatch 3 rounds during the entire match. Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and Finn "karrigan" Andersen contributed to the team’s victory with a crystalline performance: the latter only died 6 times and killed 22 opponents.
Overpass was the only real hard-fought map. Both teams had the control of the game as Terrorists, but in the end FaZe had the upper hand, and won the confrontation 16 to 14.
Analyzing the past 3 months, Team Liquid have a 30% win rate on Overpass, while Faze got 9 wins and only one loss - as new members of the squad, Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács and Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson participated only in the last four games.
The battlefield selected for the final fight was Mirage. Here FaZe won the series with a 16-4 score. NiKo continued his impressive performance earning a rating of 2.13, but also Håvard "rain" Nygaard proved his worth getting a K-D of 23-10.
