CoD Black Ops 4: Level distribution, Prestige, and Percentage of players - October 2018

CoD Black Ops 4: Level distribution, Prestige, and Percentage of players - October 2018

The level distribution in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Multiplayer mode. Find out the percentage of players by level and prestige. Updated monthly.

  • Only Multiplayer mode. Blackout has an independent ranking system based on 80 levels and without prestige.

  • Based on XP (experience points). Your gameplay and skills have an impact on the XP you are able to earn in a certain amount of time, but this isn’t a competitive mode where you risk losing your rank after a few defeats.

If you are looking for competitive statistics, Treyarch announced that League Play for Black Ops 4 will debut in December with the first competitive season. I will write a separate article on the rank distribution once we will have reliable data at our disposal.

Data

Treyarch does not share publicly data on the level distribution, so we can’t provide official info; fortunately there is a Call of Duty api. It is used by several websites tracking data for their own leaderboards and analytical services.

These websites do not gather data from all the players in the game, but only from those using their tools, so often are biased towards high ranked players. I analyzed all the websites available, and finally I concluded that COD Tracker is the most reliable one due to the huge number of visitors.

The data is based on about 800k players, so it can give us a proper idea of the level distribution.

Every month, I will gather the data and update this article. In this way, we will be able to understand how the distribution evolves over time.

October 2018

On over 810k players considered, 800k reached Prestige, and about 600 obtained Master Prestige.

Experience Points needed to level up

The table below - created by wythalnation - shows the amount of experience points required to rank up at each level.

You need 1,457,200 XP to reach Prestige 1, and 16,029,200 XP for Master Prestige. Every level after Master Prestige requires 55,600 XP, so you will need 52,486,400 XP more for level 1,000.

Starting from 0, the amount of experience points required to reach level 1,000 is proportionate to getting Prestige 47 times. I hope you are ready for the challenge.
