The family of INTERNETHULK revealed the disease that caused his death: an enlarged heart. They thanked the community for their support with a letter.
Dennis “INTERNETHULK” Hawelka died in November at the age of 30. He was a German player that competed in various games, such as Starcraft 2, League of Legends, and finally Overwatch.
In 2016-2017, he was a player and captain for Team EnVyUs, and afterwards moved on a coaching position for Laser Kittenz, Rogue, and Team Liquid.
Dennis was extremely loved by his fans. In November, the Overwatch community honored his memory with The Hulktastic Cup, a tournament streamed on GosuGamers Twitch channel that featured both professional players and OW personalities.
Blizzard also added an in-game memorial dedicated to him in the German-based map Eichenwalde. You can find it the attackers' spawn near the Crusader poster.
